Active: Dihydroartemisinin/Piperaquine Phosphate

Therapeutical Class: Anti-Malarial

Indication: World Health Organization (WHO) strongly recommends Dihydroartemisinin/ Piperaquine Phosphate (Diphos) as a latest ACT option to use as first  line treatment for the uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria including multi-drug resistant strains.  Dihydroartemisinin/ Piperaquine Phosphate is also effective against P. vivax malaria and has strong action on gametocytes. Piperaquine is also used as prophylaxis due to the advantage of its longer half life.
